head Instructor Professor Ramiro Leon

Professor Ramiro Leon started training Jiu-jitsu back in Buenos Aires, Argentina, then moved to Florida, US, where he trained under Pat Cooligan who promoted him from purple belt to 1st degree black belt. Been training for 11 years, and he moved to the US back in 2020 to start pursuing jiujitsu as a full time career.

After getting his black belt from Professor Pat, he moved to Austin to train and compete with some of the best teams in the world. Deciding to reside and teach at Renzo Gracie alone Star Team.

In these last 6 years he has competed all around the US. Some of his accomplishments during that time: +30 gold medals at IBJJF, 2x Fight To Win champion, ADCC Open gold medalist, made it to rank #1 in his weight division in purple belt and #3 overall at IBJJF.

What Ramiro loves about teaching Jiujitsu is that allows him to connect with new people and have a positive impact on their lives.

His Jiujitsu is mostly submission oriented. He has always been a high percentage finisher in tournaments.

Since training in Austin he has focused more on the control points of the game before finding those submissions.
